Flyers one win away from Coy Cup birth

first_imgThe Fort St. John Senior Flyers were quick to put behind them Friday night’s NPHL elimination yesterday evening as they welcomed the Whitehorse Huskies to the North Peace Arena for the AA playdowns to determine who goes to Fort Nelson to play in the Coy Cup. The Flyers weren’t the greatest of hosts on the ice as they they took it to the Huskies with ease, winning 8-2.The game was close after 20 minutes as the Flyers led 2-1 but they solidified their position with a solid second period as they scored three times to increase their lead to 5-1.As the third began Fort St. John kept the pressure on as they scored at the mid way point, and added two late goals to go up 8-1.
