first_imgMAC CUMHAILLS GAA NEWS:Well done to the Donegal Senior Footballers on Sunday’s result against Armagh. A special word of praise for our clubman Martin O’Reilly who scored his first SFC goal.Top of FormSenior Hurling Result: Hard luck to our hurlers who travelled to Armagh on Saturday evening to play Derrynoose. They were beaten on a score line of 1.17 to 1.07. No fixture until the 5th of July.U14 County Championship FinalHard luck to our under-14 boys in the Hurling County Championship Final on Thursday night. The lads gave it their all in the club colours and no more could have been asked of them for their efforts this year. This is a good team with some members still aged 12 and below so the game time this year will hold to them and can only bring more positive results in the future. They did very well to reach the county final and their coaches were always full of praise for these boys which says a lot. Under 8 Blitz:A big thank you to all the players, parents, coaches and referees who came out and helped at the Blitz on Saturday in Mac Cumhaill Park. We have a number of other blitzes in the coming weeks and all of the kids who attend training will get an opportunity to play. Thanks to Alice Bonner of Andie’s Supermarket for her kind sponsorship of refreshments and Gary Gallen who sponsored the refreshments for the kids from Downings, Glenfin, Cloughaneely and Mac Cumhaills today and all the parents who brought food and helped with the teas.Football Fixtures:Our senior footballers play Killybegs at home this Friday night at 7.30pm. Reserve fixture at 6.15pm and our thirds play on Saturday night at home to Naomh Conail ay 7.00pm. Come out and support the teams.Club Donegal Cards:We have 2 Club Donegal Cards left which will grant access to the All-County League and every Club Championship game for the forthcoming season. The cards are priced at €50 for the card alone or €70 for a card plus a Club Donegal item of clothing when it arrives (possibly an O’Neill’s Polo Shirt this year). Most clubs sell for €100 plus so this is a really good deal. Anyone interested please contact Eugene Gallagher on 086 609 8801.Lotto Results:There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 4, 14, 27 and 28. Three names were pulled out. Mary Wilson, Gleneely, Jacob Laverty, Drumboe Cottages and Marcel Mc Ghee each receive €30 each.  Next week’s Jackpot is €5,500. Eugene Gallagher’s team is selling this week. If you’re not in you can’t win! Club Lotto:The club are asking for people to help out by selling lotto’s. This would involve helping to sell 1 week out of every 7 or 8 depending on the amount of teams formed. This is an important source of funding for the club and a great way to help get involved with your club. All help available would be greatly appreciated. If interested please contact Terry O’Reilly on 086 609 5347.Bingo:The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose Hotel for the next 3 weeks on a Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.Club Shop: The club shop will be open on a Wednesday from 5.45 to 7.15. The club stocks a large amount of club-crested shorts, gloves, bags and bottles and a limited number of club crested O’Neills half-zip tops. Also, small sized hurling helmets in club colours with crest half price, now only €55.Training Schedule:New players to all teams are more than welcome. If there is a change of time/location it will be noted on Facebook or sent via text. Training will cost 2 Euro every week, and all players must have their membership paid also.
